I've got too many paper safes for my small darkroom. These are all the Soligor (also sold as "Unitron") 2-drawer single-sheet feeding kind in good working order--three 8x10's and one 11x14". If you haven't tried these, they are very desirable. You open the door and one sheet comes out to minimize paper handling, and each drawer has a separate door that springs shut when you let it go to prevent accidental exposure.

Let's say $150 for the lot plus shipping from Honolulu for the lot by check, m/o, or PayPal. Shipping should run about $45 to the continental US, $55 to Canada, $75 to Japan, $85 to NZ, $105 to China, >$200(!) to Australia (what are they doing, sending it by way of Europe?).

🛡️ Classifieds Safety Reminder: Please stay safe when buying and selling. Scams via hacked accounts are on the rise globally.

Best Practices: Always use a verified payment method with buyer protection (avoid "PayPal Friends & Family"). Services like Escrow.com are highly secure. Be suspicious of random unsolicited contact via Private Message. If you see suspicious behavior, please use the Report link on the post immediately.

Since Ken Nadvornick was showing off his paper safes of this type in post #10 of the makeshift darkroom thread, I thought I'd mention that these are still available.

And since my name was mentioned, I'll weigh in with a free bump that these really are very nice units.

I've had mine since the 80s and they all still work as new. The paper feed mechanism is especially effective when using RC paper, although mine were purchased for use with double-weight Zone VI Brilliant graded FB papers and worked just fine with those for many years.

The only problem I ever experienced using these was when my future sister-in-law walked into my 80s darkroom one day, reached over while casually asking "What's in here?" and those vertical red door-locking thingies you see above were not in place. Arrggghhhh...

Ken

I'd take the 11x14, if you'd be willing to break up the set (if its even possible.)

Each pair is an independent unit, and you can also slide off the legs to stack them in a more compact space.

Kirby, I'll send you a PM about the 11x14".

11x14" is SOLD.

Let's say $75+shipping for the remaining 3 8x10" (two drawers each) paper safes.

The three 8x10" paper safes are still available. How about $50+shipping to clear them out of my storage unit?

Still have these sitting in storage, ten years later. They're nice paper safes, I just have more than I need.

And 11 years after posting the original listing, they are sold.

David,
As I'm sure you, as one of the longest serving moderators knows, sometimes things require patience, and patience is sometimes it's own reward!
Congratulations on the sale, and Happy New Year!

Thanks, Matt, and Happy New Year to you and yours!
