Here is an antique brass Kodak lens in a Kodak Ball Bearing shutter. The shutter fires at all settings as well as "T" and "B".
The focal length is around 170mm. I believe this lens came from a 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 postcard size pocket Kodak so it probably will cover 4x5, i don't know that for sure but it makes sense. The glass is clean.This is a version of Kodak lens that all the is glass behind the shutter and looks like a single element. This lens a very special feature, the ring on the front of the shutter acts as a choke to keep the lens from opening up too much and makes it stay within an aperture range for reasonably sharp photos - remember its intended audience back in the day. BUT this ring unscrews and unchokes the aperture, so it opens up the lens much faster than intended and give you images with some glow and character. It is a little hard and very hit and miss to find one of these in clean working condition.
