Hi, all -

Bought this a while back with the intention of rehabbing it, but find myself lacking time now. So, it can be yours:

This is a Seneca Improved View 8x10, almost completely disassembled, but near as I can tell, everything's there. There's some wear, the finish needs work, nickeling is tarnished. But the glass is good, and it's sound. Just needs reassembly. And a new bellows, for which I'd seek out Sandeha Lynch who can make these in a variety of colors. This camera does not include the extension rail.

Just want to recoup my investment: $125 plus shipping, PayPal only.

🛡️ Classifieds Safety Reminder: Please stay safe when buying and selling. Scams via hacked accounts are on the rise globally.

Best Practices: Always use a verified payment method with buyer protection (avoid "PayPal Friends & Family"). Services like Escrow.com are highly secure. Be suspicious of random unsolicited contact via Private Message. If you see suspicious behavior, please use the Report link on the post immediately.
You'd have to contact Sandeha directly to get a quote. I believe it's color-dependent.

If you want to keep the over all restoration costs down make you can make your own less than ÂŁ25/$38 :D More if you wamt exotic outer coverings. I'm on my 4th set at the moment and it's not difficult at all.

I have to admit to toying with buying this camera as it looks great, and quite an easy restoration but I can't justify a third 10x8 :D

BTW Tomosy's Camera Restoration book is now available as a free download.

Saturday bump.

C'mon - I know there's a DIYer out there that's itching to put this thing back together! Lemme hear from you!

No lensboards come with this camera - I haven't touched it except to take it out of the box.

Where's the extension rail? I have an improved view, but mine is missing the extension rail. If that were included I would take it. I made my own, but the gear teeth on the back don't match the gear rack I was able to source.

Well, I don't know where the extension rail is. Like you, I bought the camera without one. Like most of these old field cameras, the extension rail, for some reason, becomes separated from the camera, never to be found. Comparable gear racks are still available; you have to be careful when spec'ing them, though. I have a machinist friend who spec's mine when I order...

How about $100 plus shipping? And, due to extreme difficulties with getting international shipments through to their destinations of late, I'm giving heavy preference to US sales now. Sorry.

My question sounded a bit flippant, sorry.
