This is a solid well made extension rail, often missing from classic American tailboard cameras.
Black painted cherrywood with nickel plated hardware.
Stamped 140 on the bottom of the rail.
Measurements: 10 1/4 inch length x 6 5/8 inch width x 13/16 height.
The gear track center to center measures 5 3/4 inches
The actual gear track width is 1/8th inch
The pins center to center measure 3 3/8 inches
There was a repair done on this rail years before.

For Sale: Seneca Camera Base with Hinge and Tripod Mount
This base is also stamped 140 on the bottom and originally matched the rail.
The pins do not line up exactly however, so some adjustments would have to be made.
The gear track center to center does match up.
Measurements: 3 1.2 inch length x 6 5/8 inch width x 13/16th inch height.
The gear track center to center measures 5 3/4 inches
The actual gear width 1/8th inch
The pin holes center to center - 3 7/16 inches
One side needs repair.
