This is the Classic Sekonic L28 c2 meter.
it was NOS (New/Old Stock) when i bought it.
works perfectly

first photo shows the previous person removed serial number.

includes
BOX ( a little worn )
HARD CASE
HIGH MASK
LUMISPHERE
GRID
FLAT DISK

I lost my meter and after looking for 7 months bought this and found the lost one just as I was putting this away.

it is kind of funny how that happens, isn't it ?

asking : $113 includes shipping CONNUS ( what i paid )

outside of CONNUS $105+ shipping

RETURN POLICY

seeing there are issues with the serial number being etched off by sekonic(?) ..
if the meter does not work when it arrives, i will be happy to
return the $ and postage and having the buyer send me back the meter.

gee I figured the last thing you would need is a light meter lol. so what's with the missing serial number? came off as it feel off the back of a truck? Just kidding.

He probably obscured the serial in photoshop so someone won't try to claim he stole it. There are scammers who have tried that on people selling photo gear online...the sellers legitimately owned the gear but someone tried to 'steal' it by claiming it was theirs ...look i have the serial number so it must be mine!

not sure why the serial number was etched off
the guy who sold it to me shrugged his shoulders too ..
i bought it from someone who had a few of them
and he was selling them out of his vintage electronics + antique store in IN.
i have my receipt if it is needed ...

i wish i needed another light meter eric,
i have 4 of them ( MR, luna pro sbc, minolta flash meter and a sekonic )
and don't use any of them.

I bought one of this guys meters. I didn't know the serial numbers had been removed until I received it but upon reading the WHOLE ebay ad it did indeed say that Sekonic had removed the serial numbers because they were introducing a new model and didn't want to honor any warranties on the old model. Apparently the seller bought a large qty. of them. The seller is "reliablevintage" on ebay and he always has one up for auction. The seller did offer to take the meter back and pay all postage but I went ahead and kept it.

yes changeling1, that is the guy.

the serial number wasn't an issue for me

i am happy to return the $$ for the meter if
someone buys light meter does not work when it is received.

This, and those like it (There have been innumerable variations since it came out 60 years ago.), is perhaps the best all-around light meter ever made, IMHO (especially when used with a set of hi-slides). Someone should grab it from John.

I hear light meters are a hot commodity on the black market, so I bet they're pinched.

...just kidding. But even if they are stolen, the owner has probably been dead for 14 years and the police report is probably filed away too deep to reach with a fishing rod. Or maybe it was just an artistic expression.

By the way, folks: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/47220-REG/Sekonic_401_805.html.

Best light meter accessories I have ever used. Put in the slide that matches the difference between your film speed and your desired shutter speed, and the meter gives you a directly-readable f stop by simply placing the meter where you want to measure (and without ever needing batteries). Incredibly quick and hassle free...the BEST for street photography and other types of photography in which you just need a good exposure right away, and need to change often.

I usually use the slide in which the film speed is 1/3 below the fractional shutter speed. (ISO 400 at '500, ISO 100 at '125, etc.) I shoot at '500 whenever possible. It is my "go-to" shutter speed for general purposes...and 400 is my usually-used film, so this is the slide for me most of the time.

I also sometimes use the slide with which the shutter speed is set two speeds slower than 1/3 over the film speed. For instance, 400 film with a'125 shutter.

However, you can also use the slides in this big kit for standard shutter spacing at ISOs 125 and 160, common film speeds.

$55 for a full set of them is a deal and a half...just like these light meters, new or used.
