FS: Rolleicord V. Works as is, still will need a cla.
I am selling a Rolleicord V (serial 1570428) that I bought with the the thought of having it cla'd by the end of the year, but I have other equipment I want to have worked on first.
It's in good shape, just a few scuff marks on the leatherette, and some minor loss of paint on the back of the camera. The focusing lens is in good shape, clear with no haze or fungus. The Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar (serial 4655350) taking lens is in great shape, clear with no fungus or haze with some minor dust.
What needs to be worked on:
1. The shutter speeds slower than 1/8 hang.
1. The self timer doesn't trip the shutter. Most likely needs to be cleaned.
2. The double prevention release lever doesn't work, shouldn't be difficult to repair.
3. If you focus from infinity and then back again, the left side of the lens mount (as you are looking down at the viewfinder, see photo 3) won't be even with the right side (I would guess a couple of millimeters). I just slightly press the left side of the lens mount and make it even.
Comes with an original Rollei lens cap, but it doesn't stay on very well, so I recommend buying a generic plastic tlr cap to use in the field. I have an extra one you can have for $5.
$110 is what I paid for it so I'd like to get that amount, and I will include shipping in the U.S. I accept Paypal or a postal money order. PM me for an international shipping charge.
