It expires in 2105, that is a really long life. Where did you get it?

Yuk-yuk!
When I saw your message, I read it as 2015 and thought: "what does he mean"? Looked closer and saw the inversion of numbers. I really need to be extra careful when writing down numbers: I have a tendency to invert them (slight dyslexia, I suppose). It's kind of embarrassing when I give the last four digits of my phone number backward: "if you didn't want me to have your number, you could have just said so" kind of retort.

I digress - thank you for pointing out the mistake.

Didn’t know packs of “Rollei” film even existed.

Damn and I was waiting for you to respond so I could buy it!

I hope you are joking. I did not interpret your response that way.

No I am not kidding, but you beat me fair and square. I should have bought it when I first saw it.

I may have another pack deep in my freezer at work; won’t know until Tuesday when I will be going in. If I do have some, you have first dibs. I will write down the expiration date more carefully.

None left.
I have lots of HIE and I will be putting some of it up for sale in the near future.

Hah! Now your pulling the good stuff out :D

(I am actually looking forward to shooting IR in 120).

Got it! The black plastic containers claim it was made for Rollei by Agfa-Gaevert in Belgium. The instructions mention MACO (translated: "The use of other chemicals that have not been approved by MACO can lead to a reduction in quality, which is then reflected in coarse grain and low sensitivity utilization"...). Interesting.
currrent spec sheet: "By using other brands of developers -not tested by MACO- decreases of quality can be
expected showing rough grain structures and low sensitivity."

The spectral curve looks like the current product, so I will follow current usages as I find here and other places. I may start with an R72 filter and around ISO 4-12 in sunlight. I put 4 in the freezer (they we re still cool) and 1 in the fridge for (maybe) this weekend.

Renato,

please count me in on your waiting list for your next find!

thanks!

How old are they and how much would you like for them?

They are from 2008 - the final run.
I have stored it in led-lined bags at sub-zero (no self-defrost). So far, no fogging bu how much more can I push my luck?
I will have 3 rolls for $45. including shipping in the USA. Send me a PM if interested.

Hi Renato,

Because you mention storing film, what’s the best way to do it? I have mine in ziplock bags in the freezer, the 120 outside the cardboard and with their wrappers, and the 135 with their canisters. Any better way?

thanks! Noémi

Wow that’s a good offer!
It’s practically factory HIE time traveled.

I store mine in packaging to avoid pressure points and direct contact with condensation points.
Also a couple of packets of silica gel and double plastic bags with IKEA clips.
Not at 0F, but then I don’t store film for more than a few years.
Any ways to improve that?
