Forgive my ignorance can educate me a little, how significant of a difference is there between 210 mm lens, and 150mm lens?

I know there's supposed to be more of a difference when you're using 35mm vs 4x5 when it comes to changes in the look of an image when changing focal lengths, and even if say a 150mm lens is similar to a 50mm lens, and a 210mm is similar to a 70mm lens, somehow it doesn't quite calculate that way or something?

Basically trying to decide if getting a 210mm is the way to go when I already own a 150mm or if I should go straight to a 300mm (or very close to that) which is also something I want for landscapes more than portraits.

Thanks

Stone, I now often carry a 210mm Symmar S(or a 203mm Ektar) as well as a 150mm and I find there's a significant difference. I had my 210 for some time before starting to use it but I've started to find it's a very useful FL.

For portraits, I rather use a 210mm than a 300mm but that's just me.

The shots you have posted on here. Mostly the nudes. The 210mm feels like it has the tighter crop that you tend to employ. That's all. 150mm is fine, but I find it not wide enough nor close enough...kinda a funny size.

And see I want it closer, but my LF work as been random so far for models, I haven't had a chance to really shoot with it, I will, I really like the 180mm on my Mamiya RZ67 for models but the TOYO 45A can only go to 300mm without a 100mm extension back... Which is expansive as hell new and no one seems to be selling any, I'm only willing to pay up to $100 for it and it's like $500 which is what I paid for the damn camera! Lol really wish I could pay $50 for one though, it's just a square with latches... Ugh... If I really could I would buy 2 for $100 and throw on a 500mm, that would be sweet
