For sale, another display camera that's way too big for the space I have available. This one is a Rochester Optical Universal, Variation I, dating to around 1890-1892 in the Whole Plate size. It's got some issue, mainly with the bellows. They're pretty dry and have white marks all over them. Long ago I painted the inside with black fabric paint and they were light tight but probably not anymore. The wood is generally nice except for the crack around the tripod mount and some slight scarring near one of the psrings on the back. The lens is a Bausch 8x10 Planatograph with clean glass and a working shutter. The lensboard is a Burke and James 4x4 so it should be easy to find a nicer, betetr matching board.
I have a half dozen plate holders which fit this camera. Not included in the price below but if you want to try using this camera, I'd be happy to sell them for a fair bundle price.
