A number of years ago, while walking through the Moscow subway, I came a cross a man selling technical publications. Seeing this one, I grabbed it. It's time to pass it on to someone else who might find it useful.

The title of this 1966 paperback book translates to something like: Repair of Photo-Apparatus of the Specular (mirrored) Type, but that's not exactly true, as the book includes references to Lubitels and Sputniks. The book is entirely in Russian.

The referenced cameras are: Zenith, Zenith S, Zenith Z, Zenith ZM, Crystal, Start, Lubitel 2 and Sputnik. There are detailed illustrations of the internals of these cameras, along with illustrations of the tools used to repair them.

The book is in good condition, although the paper is a bit faded.

Let's see if it's worth $30, shipped via 1st Class Mail, to anyone. Paypal accepted.

In my 20's I started working as a Russian translator of scientific documents; I still translate technical and military journals as an aside to my actual career. This would be a nice addition to my Russian library, but somehow I feel it would be more valuable to someone else who would actually use it.

There must be someone who could use this information.

Just out of curiosity, where are you located?

Theo:

I'm mostly in New York, near the city, although I'm ducking the storms by hiding out in New England for the moment.

An English translation would be a more useful than just a picture book.

Special price for you: $20!

Let's wait a few days in case someone shows up that could really use it. If no one does, I'll send you a PM.
