Just the first batch of lenses in my continuing paredown of items I don't have room to display, time to repair, or shoot.

Kodak Anastigmat 170mm f6.3 in an Ilex Universal shutter. Has mounting flange. Aperture works well. Shutter fires progressively on all speeds, and T & B work. 1 second sounds a bit weak – spring sound is hesitant – but it fires at around 1 second consistently. Glass is in pretty good shape – dust and some minor scratches. $25 + shipping

Laack Rathenow DIalytar Serie T, 165mm f4.5 in a dial set Compur. Front cell is an uncemented pair. Rear cell looks to be a cemented pair, so, name notwithstanding, this looks to be a Tessar type construction and not a dialyte. Glass is fairly clean – some minor dust and maybe a couple of very fine scratches. Aperture scale goes from f4.5 to f25 and works smoothly and looks good. T & B work fine. 1 second and ½ second are hanging up but the rest fire sequentially and seem reasonably close, although I didn’t test them. Shutter has a mounting ring. Shutter serial number dates it to between 1922-1925. $50 + shipping

Goerz Celor, Series Ib No 3, 8 ¼ in f5. Serial number 220710 dates it to around 1908. Strangely, the barrel is marked Wollensak. The aperture is US scale, starting at f1.6 (which looks to be right around f5) and going to f128. Glass on a Celor is 4 elements in 4 groups, in modern parlance. Glass is good, except for both of the outer surfaces, front and back. Those have a lot of fine scratches, and the front also has a circular mark, around 3/8” diameter, right around the center. No flange for this one. $40 + shipping

A no name rectilinear lens in a brass barrel. Includes flange but no waterhouse stops. Glass diameter is around 1 ¼”. Focal length is around 9”. Looking at a very bright light source, the glass has haze and/or separation in both doublets. Looking at a bright blue sky through it though, they look clear. Casts a good image on my Speed Graphic’s ground glass, although I’m sure there’s some loss of contrast. Glass is installed in the mounts using retaining rings so no dealing with burnished mounts if you want to re-cement. $50 + shipping

5x7 Rapid Rectilinear in brass barrel. Marked as Perken Son & Rayment, Hatton Garden London, “Optimus”. Focal length approximately 9”. Rear looks fairly clean with some minor scratching. Front glass is badly hazy and/or separated. Look at a bright blue sky though and its not quite as bad. Looks to cast a good image on my 4x5’s ground glass but I’m sure there’s some loss of contrast, and probably sharpness. These are in burnished mounts. Hood is well dinged up, and the barrel has a ding just below the front threads that makes installing the front cell a bit tricky. $40 + shipping

Beautiful Koilos shutter with Aldis Anastigmat No2 f6. Its around 5 ½ - 6” focal length. T & B don’t seem to be working (open but don’t close) but all speeds are firing, and 1 second even seems about right. Glass is clear with only some minor dust and scratches, but the front has some edge separation. Shutter includes what looks to be the original mounting ring. Shutter aperture scale is marked from f5.8-32 and aperture works fine and looks nice. $50 + shipping

Lots of photos on Flickr

Thanks,
Dan
