For Sale FS: Projection Petzval

For sale is a nice little brass projection petzval. Focal length is in the 5-6" range and glass diameter is around 1.5" so I've been shooting it as f4. Glass is in good condition with a couple of minor marks on the front glass. Racking mechanism works. Hood is slightly out of round. Cap has lost the paper backing from the inside so it's a bit too loose - to use it this past weekend, I put a layer of black electrical tape inside, which worked but left some glue residue on the hood - it'll clean right up but I haven't done it yet. Retaining ring is included - it's crude, having been dremeled off the magic lantern the lens came from, but it works just fine.

Rather than try to describe its properties, I'll attach three photos taken this weekend with the Speed Graphic setup shown.

Asking $250 + CONUS shipping. Lens, hood, cap and retaining ring included. All other items shown in photos - speed graphic, canon lens cap, hoya filter, etc, are not. If you want the lensboard, add $15 since I'll need to replace it with another from heavystar, but, I warn you that my drill bit walked so the hole is slightly off center on the board.
