hello,

please bear with my lack of knowledge here.

will a D5/6 lens board fit a DV? i bought the DV about a year ago and recently got space for a darkroom.

i have a turret lens board that came with my DV bit it does not have the external plates to mount lenses.

i have an 80mm rodenstock, 100mm nikkor and hope to have a 135mm. not sure, but i think they are all 39mm thread.

what lens boards/flanges and screw/nuts & bolts do i need?

many thanks in advance.

I'm not the OP, but I might be able to help.

But I'm not familiar with an Omega enlarger referred to as a "DV" - can you clarify?

Ok….

Well, sounds like maybe you have a bit of a cobbled together D2V? That is…sounds like a D2 with a later model variable condenser head, perhaps?

In general..the D2 series wouldn't use the lens plates from a D5/D6/Prolab. However, to my knowledge, the only turret that was produced was for the Prolab/D5/D6 series heads. So, it's possible that you actually do need the plates to fit onto your turret.

Check out the following web page. It's a great reference for what lenses need what plates / mounts. If you see your turret there…you'll need the plates they're talking about, and it'll show you what specific plates you need for what specific lenses.

Does that help?
