For sale is a Nikon 9000ED multi-format film scanner with the original documentation, all the negative carriers including the expensive rotating glass carrier with all the masks and additional mask material. The was purchased new from B&H in 2006, has been used regularly but not heavily and is in perfect working condition with rigorous dust prevention as part of the use. That means all scanning trays stored in gallon ziploc bags and the scanner it self in a dust cover when not in use. It includes the power cable, original Firewire 400 cable and a Firewire 400-800 cable, the latter cord has seen it work perfectly via Thunderbolt ports with an adapter. Cosmetically speaking the scanner is really clean except for one spot on the left front that got scuffed when I moved an awkward desk component. The scanner will ship in it’s original box plus an outer protective box insured Fedex Ground. US ONLY. $2500 Plus shipping.

Also for sale is a complete ScanScience fluid mount kit for the 9000ED Scanner with 7 full bottles and one 3/4 full bottle of Lumina scanning fluid. The kit cost almost $400 and also includes a spare bottle, squeegee, gloves, glass plates, overlays & black masks for 35mm and 120mm formats. $250 OBO plus shipping.

PM me if interested.

All of it, scanner, Nikon and Silverfast software, fluid mount kit, rotating glass holder, shipped, PayPal fees, the whole works in perfect working condition in the box for $2,500. This is COMPLETE folks, even Silverfast is upgraded to the most recent version and will work with Mac OS High Sierra.

Anyone?

It is tempting... no doubt. My main concern with the Nikon scanners is the lack of service and parts support from nikon - what's that look like going forward?

Other than the mirror cleaning and rail re-lube services I see for about $155, I have no idea, I just know this was bought new by me from B&H and always covered, I inspected the inside for dust, etc and it is really clean, works great even with my new iMac Pro.

I am thinking if it does not sell I will keep it for workshops and then reluctantly sell my Xpan kit....I have about $40K worth of business related purchases over the past 8 months I need to offset.
