While sorting through my stash of films I came across 9 sealed boxes of New 55 polaroid-style film. The film is ISO 50 (or was then) and processing was supposed to take 2 minutes in order to get a positive polaroid style photograph. There is no date code on the boxes but this stuff came from the original New 55 Company. I originally backed the Kickstarter and then purchased a few more boxes at a later date.

I am quite certain that the positive polaroid photo portion will be far too old to work any longer (as I remember there were some problems with this back when the film was new), the negative itself should still be good. I am pretty sure this is the same film as the Atomic X film you can still get from The Famous large and small format film company (I think). They may in fact be out of business but their website is still up.

Each box holds 5 packages of film. You will need the old Polaroid 545 series of film holder to use the film in its current form. The negatives should still be good but there is obviously no way I can guarantee it so it is offered as is. It was stored on a shelf in my home in steady temperature conditions between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It has never been refrigerated of frozen.

Anyway, if anyone wants to play with this stuff I'll be more than happy to ship it off to you for $25 (I am guessing that will just about cover shipping.)

I also have the Polaroid film holder and it still worked the last time I tried it. I'll be happy to ship that along with the entire package for an additional $15. Let me know.

I could post pictures but all you will see is a cardboard box with the New 55 label on it.

I still have two boxes in the fridge. One from their first batch, and one from the second. The first batch had inconsistent pod spreading issues, the second batch was much better. The positives were so so, but I wanted the negative anyways. I better use them up before the pods' chemistry fails.

The film is gone. It did open a nice spot on my film shelf. Thanks for all the interest.

It was always pretty inconsistent but it was fun to play with. Even when the positives didn't work out, and that really was the entire intent, the negatives were pretty good. It is too bad because it was a pretty popular idea. Just goes to show how much behind the scenes technology was involved in making the Polaroid product work as consistently as it did.
