Whoa...is this really Adoplh Hitler's Minolta? No, Hitler probably would have bombed the Minolta factory if he had owned this one, but for $5 plus the actual cost of shipping it can be all yours. Why so cheap? It doesn't work. The shutter tries to work...will work fine on B and will try to work on O setting, but those are the only two times it works. If you're really good or if you've overserved yourself some adult beverages, I suppose you could take all your pictures using the B setting. But for this afternoon, let's call it a parts camera and leave it at that. Battery door is present, rewind knob is present...really the whole camera seems to be here. This post brought back a few memories. In the 80's, I used to help a friend sell photo equipment at those hotel camera shows. At about 50% of the shows, some guy (always a different guy) would try to sell us an old, beat up Leica. Each one "used to belong to Hitler's dentist". He must have had very good teeth, as he had a lot of dentists...

It's amusing to make fun of Hitler-related 'collectables' - why anyone would pay top $$ for those, given their awful associations, or (more often) unlikely legitimacy is a mystery... Through humour, we can (sometimes) survive awfulness and belittle meanness...
