This is the largest LUC shutter I have ever owned. It is 5.3 inches/134mm diameter with an opening of 60.92mm/2.398 inches. The cable release opens and shuts the shutter. There are 3 settings with the LUC lever at the top to open the shutter; one, keeps it open, second one fires the shutter at 1/25 second +/- (estimated time), or the third setting is just "open and shut" depending on how fast you and keep your cable release button depressed.
It is missing its back/reverse side and that is why I have attached it to a lens board. As presently set up, you slip the lens board onto the front of the barrel lens to use it. The lens board presently used creates a .9 inch/.23 mm depth for slipping the LUC shutter onto the front of the barrel lens. If you like, you can add additional thickness to the board to make it more secure slip on fit to your barrel lens. This board was just conveniently added to demonstrate this concept, although it works fine.
Originally I was going to dremel an opaque plexiglass which would have a thickness of approximately 3mm which in turn would be notched to twist lock to the LUC shutter as would have the original missing part. But, time for this project has never been there for me.
I attached the wood lens board to the LUC Shutter using cable ties (white)...but you can use another color cable time if it suits you. They hold it firmly to together by using the 6 holes manufactured in the LUC Shutter and slipping the cable ties through both the shutter and the board, then cutting the excess plastic cable ties essentially flush.
