I built these two cameras to share a lens making it more economical to shoot both 4x5 super and a 6x12 formats. The helical mounted 65mm Fujinon can be unscrewed and moved between cameras.

The 4x5 camera was designed to make shooting 4x5 as easy as I could make it with the idea that I would shoot a couple sheets of film at the same time as shooting digitally. The camera is truly a point and shoot in the simplest terms, it does not even having a permanently installed ground glass. Just a spring back and a slide-in ground glass. Its really just there if you wanted to slow down and not shoot handheld on the go. Weighing only 757 grams, it’s the lightest camera I’ve ever built. It’s based on the clever 3D printed Will Travel body but has many modifications to make shooting it more enjoyable and more precise to use. A smaller and more functional grip was added to the front of the camera making it fit in a bag MUCH easier, a modern brass helical and spring loaded film back. I spent a lot of time reworking the spring back to make it super quick but positive to slide film holder slide in and out. If you need two hands to load the holder it kinda negates my entire goal for this camera. Its only downside is there is not enough room for a Graphmatic back to fit.

The 6x12 camera was also my personal camera so it’s not quite as polished as the cameras that I build to sell, but it is exceedingly useable. The camera is made by cutting two Zeiss Ikonta 515/16's in half and joining them together. The camera uses a permanently mounted Zeiss/Contax 21mm finder that has had its accessory shoe shortened to lower the entire profile of camera. 120 film loads without needing spindle adapters which makes it a bit quicker to load in the field. I’m leaving the endless rings on the camera if you want to add a neck strap letting the camera hang upside down over your shoulder.

Both cameras have permanently mounted Arca Swiss plates on them, the 6x12 plate has a 1/4 20 tripod mount at the front, but the 4x5 camera does not. If you wanted to tripod mount the 4x5 camera you must use an Arca Swiss dovetail.

I was going to sell them separately but they complement each other so well by filling two different needs in one super affordable option. Perfect for a fellow film geek!

$1249.00 plus $25.50 shipping in the US.
