Earlier, lenses were generally mounted on the outer side of the lens board with flanges. When lenses began to be mounted in shutters, retaining rings took the place of flanges. Many wooden cameras use wooden lens boards, and mounting shuttered lenses on these boards is not as simple as using modern metal lens boards. Wooden boards are usually thicker than metal boards, and the rear side needs to be finished properly. Using a flange makes it much easier - the hole in the board can be irregular, or larger than needed, as long as it is smaller than the flange.
I commissioned a CNC shop to manufacture these flanges in small batches. The first batch for #0 shutters is now ready for sale. The flange is made of anodized aluminum and has four holes for screws. The laser marking on this batch was done on the wrong side, but that's only a cosmetic issue.

Buying goods online coming from a non-European Union country
As soon as you buy a product from a non-EU country, then effectively you become an importer and become liable to Customs and Excise Duty as well as Value Added Tax (VAT) payments.
