Leica M mount Summarit 50mm f1.5
Nice user condition.

If you are familiar with this lens you know its lovely image quality. Creamy bokeh at every aperture (to my eye) and can even get swirly wide open. If you aren't familiar there are lots of wide open Summarit images posted online.

Wide open it is soft with adequate detail in the central part of the image and a beautiful glow on b&w or color. At f2.8 it becomes a respectably sharp lens and continues to improve as stopped down (but this still ain't no Summicron).

For me, the images are most interesting from f1.5 to f2 or just a bit more, with f2 being noticeably sharper and contrastier (if that is what you want).

This is the best of several Summarits I've owned over the years. I had this one cleaned and I see no noticeable haze (a common issue). As usual with these old coatings, there ARE noticeable coating marks that I don't find worrisome, but Summarits are never going to be for the fussier Leica types.

Pictures of the Summarit glass

Several people wanted more info on the condition of the glass. I've tried to take pictures to show it as best I can.

I don't see any noticeable haze (the lens was professionally cleaned a few years ago). There are light marks in the coating, mostly on the front. They will not effect resolution and should not effect contrast or flare, especially with a lens hood (highly recommended).

The first two pictures show the clear glass. The third and forth are extremely glaring light to show up the coating marks (fine cleaning marks and a light circular rub toward the center). I onto a couple test shots I made with the lens (not on film) I can post later if wanted.
