Thank you for checking this out.
It is time for me to start clearing the shelves around my house a little bit. I own a lot of cameras and some things have to go.
I have a used single stroke Leica M3 I have decided to sell. The camera is a bit rough with wear and nicks along the edges, some scratches and paint missing on the back door. Bottom is tight and back door is hard to open. However, shutter, film transport, lens mounting and focusing all seem to work with no problems at all.
I haven't used this camera for awhile (I use a Leica MA regularly) so I put a roll of film through it this afternoon to ensure everything worked as well as I had remembered. Beyond the back door being very tight everything worked perfectly. I just finished developing the negatives and they are well focused and well exposed. I can't vouch for well taken. There are no light leaks visible on the negatives. In short, everything important seems to work just fine.
If you are looking for a good user and are not too concerned that it looks a bit rough around the edges then this may be the camera you have been looking for. But I need to remind you. This is an old M3 (built sometime in 1957) and I have no idea when it was serviced most recently. I have owned it over 6 years and have never had the need to have it checked. Because of this I cannot guarantee that this camera will continue to work as well as it does now. I recommend you have it checked out and professionally serviced before relying on it too much. It is 73 years old after all.
Please understand that this sale is final and no returns will be considered.
I'll try to scan a couple of negatives from the roll I exposed after they dry tomorrow.
Payment to be made through Paypal and I will ship only to addresses in the continental United States using the USPS.
