For Sale FS: Leica IIIF Black Dial Body + Accessories

Up for grabs is an extremely clean cosmetic condition IIIF black dial. Looks to have been used a couple of times by the original owner, then put aside. Selling for a friend who doesn't use forums, he bought it from the original owner's estate but already has a Bessa which he prefers... Vulcanite is in excellent condition, no holes or wear. Bottom plate is quite clean, shows a bit more wear than the rest of the body but even that looks great.

I'm in the middle of a test roll, will update thread once I've processed it. Fast speed dial sound excellent, slow speeds sound very close if not spot on and the take up spool is original to the camera from what I can tell.

Already checked RF accuracy and it matches my SLRs and M3. VF is clear, RF moving image is slightly dim but this is only the second Leica Barnack I've handled so I'm not sure how bright it should be compared to an M series or the Canon Barnacks or later Canon RFs.

Comes with some accessories that I will post images of/more info on in another post to this thread: Perrin period leather bag, some Series hoods, Leitz instruction manual, original leather case for the camera. Also have a Wolly 90mm and torpedo finder that are available at additional cost.

Lens pictured is NOT included in sale. I'll be shipping the camera from 92116, San Diego, CA. Can ship outside of US to select countries if buyer covers cost.

Tested the shutter, it has pinholes in at least one curtain so it will likely need full curtain replacement.
