On the film advance.. does it stop automatically with the turn the knob? Does it have a shutter lock out after you take a picture ?
Todd
I bet you would get a lot of double takes with that beauty slung on your shoulder. Stunning!!!

Yes, IF you obtain the proper case for it! Note that the Leica II, as with the earlier Leica models, has no eyelets on the sides for strap attachment. (Some II's were later retro-fitted with them by the factory). However, this is not to be seen as a deficiency. On the contrary, as this camera (especially when a small, collapsible lens is mounted) is a delight for carrying discretely in a pocket. It's tiny, even compared with the later III-series cameras.
The other thing you can do is to use one of Gordy's wrist straps, the ones that you screw into the tripod socket on the base. (I have one and have used it with this camera).
I hate to let it go but other needs dictate it

Hello James , I am waiting my 9th Leica and I felt biggest fear with Leica was its weight and thin body. I always stressed to glide the leica from my fingers hand. I found a solution, I went to yacht store and bought from most expensive and thinnest yacht rope 1 meter. I dont know whether it was for yacht or surf board but it can carry hundreds of pounds. It was ultraviolet protected , dry felt rope and seeing it from couple of meters is difficult.
One of the seller said he will bring me original steel sphere bead leica chain for free. I never saw a strap like that but if it is Leica , it is the best.
I advise any buyer to find one of that strap or chain.
