Kodak originally designed this film for the motion picture industry. The original negative from the ciné camera would be contact printed to this film to make a positive print for cinema distribution. The film is very, very slow.... between 1-6 asa and it has no anti-halation backing, so it has to be handled in subdued light. It is also used in 35mm still cameras, but I advise doing so with a tripod, and certainly not suitable for action shots

The film comes from a the cinema department of a local university; it was decided to drop the use of film in the department. Their loss, our gain!

I am experimenting with the film and there is a wealth of information on the internet. For starters, there are the two sites below. Do a search for "kodak 5302".

More precise information is available in Kodak's technical data:
http://motion.kodak.com/motion/Products/Distribution_And_Exhibition/5302.htm

This will give you an idea of what the film is capable of when used in a still camera:

I have several unopened boxes available. The department stored the film in the film fridge. I have developed several 20 exposure rolls and there is absolutely no fogging.
You will of course have to do your own spooling.

$35 per box ($65/2 boxes) + postage from Canada. Payment through PayPal.

Thank You!

Do you have developing times for this film ? I found a few using Kodak developers anything other than? I also hear that Pyro developers work well but the first will be Rodinal 1-50 for say 10 min. Rodinal works for anything so should be a good start

I bought a roll of this film from Bogdan and started to experiment with it.

A very interesting film - only blue sensitive so reds are very dark. Depending on complexion, it will probably darken the skin of people quite a bit. The film itself is white and becomes clear after developing. I suggest to keep your loaded cartridges in complete darkness and load your camera in a very dim room (or under safelight) unless you want to fog the first 5 or 6 frames.

Very very fine grain and...very slow. From my testing to date, between iso 3-6 seems alright when developed in Xtol, depending on the type of light. What is good is that I have done 1 minute exposures without adjustment for the reciprocity law failure and they looked the same as my shorter exposures. I will try longer exposures in the next few days.

Here's an unedited example at iso 6 developed in Xtol (1+1) for 7 minutes (10 seconds agitation per minute):
