For sale is a Japanese wooden 4x5 camera. This camera has the standard features found on these cameras - front tilt and rise, rear tilt. The bellows extends from 90mm to 300mm. The lens panel takes 75 x 90mm boards. There are a few pinholes in the bellows, which can be taped up. It weighs 1.6 kilos.

There are a couple of interesting features. On most Japanese cameras, the lens panel has tabs on either side, which ride in grooves on the front standard. On this camera, there are clamping levers (circled in red in the fifth photo) to do this. The bed is also unusual. It can be released by unlocking the two knobs on either side, and the entire camera can be moved up, forward or back as desired.

Does this camera take standard 4x5 fidelity film holders?

I have the same camera in 5X7.
Only marking is "Japan" but wonder who the actual manufacturer was?
It's obviously a quality product and notable that all the screw-head slots are in perfect alignment throughout.
Mine came with original tripod legs and three matching film holders.
Absolutely love mine.

Many of the cameras look very similar. One of the dealers told me that there was also a lot of co-operation among the smaller makers, with sharing of parts, particularly hardware.
