For sale, an Ilex Paragon 12" f4.5 lens in barrel with soft focus adjustment. It's circa 1920 from what I could find online, and Ilex's answer to the Wolly Velostigmat Series II. Aperture and fuzzulator work fine. barrel has some chips and such, and no retaining ring. I believe these cells would fit into a Universal #5? Glass needs cleaning, but even at that, it has some cleaning marks and light scratches, and maybe a deeper one or two, although they might also be bubbles. No, this lens isn't pristine, and it shows it's age, but it's soft focus without the price tag of a Wolly.
Adking $350 + USPS priority mail shipping/insurance.
Photos on Flickr here. There are two sample images shot on x-ray film on 8x10. Both are f4.5, one at max soft and one sharp. I've got problems with either dust or scratches with the x-ray film but they should give you an idea. I'm going to try to shoot a few frames on 4x5 tomorrow (I dont have any real 8x10 film).
Thanks,
Dan
