I am selling my Hasselblad 60mm f/3.5 CF Distagon for the 500 series cameras since it isn't getting enough use to justify having it.

It is in good condition cosmetically and glass wise. The shutter fires accurately and there is not oil on the aperture blades. I dragged this thing all over the place and it never let me down.

The one problem with the lens is that there is some internal dust or what might be fungus/oil specks in the space where the aperture and shutter blades are. These were on the lens when I got it from KEH, and it hasn't gotten any worse. I tried to take a picture of it best I could. Nothing noticeable has ever turned up in the pictures though--both front and rear elements are clean.

Here are some pictures made with the lens.

I'll vouch for this lens. Terrific performer. Some may think or argue that it's too close to the 50 or 80 but I found myself wanting to get wider than 80 but 50 often feeling too wide. Sure I could crop the 50 but sometime just going out with my 60 and nothing more is the perfect all-around lens for me. I'd not feel that comfortable carrying just the 50 while the 60 I often do, for those times when carrying a second lens is just not going to be convenient.

Same here. I know a lot of Hasselblad users go for the 50/80/150 combo, but I didn't like the 50mm because it was too wide. Just got the 60mm a few weeks ago and have been loving it. Great walk-around lens that's equivalent to around a 35 on a 35mm camera.

Yeah, it is a really great all-around lens--I've made some of my favorite Hasseblad pictures with it. I'm just selling it since I got the 65mm for the Mamiya 7 and generally prefer 6x7 to 6x6.

Wow, great picture!
I assume that is some crazy building and not distortion in the lens?

gijsbert, definitely not distortion. Even the 40mm won't show any barrel distortion. I have the 30mm (fisheye) which does, though.

Yeah, that's the building. Milwaukee Art Museum! Definitely worth a stop if you are ever in the greater metro area.

Bump!

Dang... That's such a steal! I'm one of those guys that bought into the 50/80/150 trio but then I discovered the 100mm and it changed everything. It's been making me wonder if I'd prefer a 60/100mm kit. The 50 is kind of wide I agree, but I'd be hard pressed to sell off the 80, it's just such a lovely lens.

Let me think on it (obviously you don't have to hold anything for me).

Go 40/60/80 like I did! The 40 Distagon is terrific!!

The 60 Distagon is a great lens, much better than the 50 D. I have the 38, 60, 80 (several) 100 & 135. I also had the 250 SA but sold it since I never used it! Good luck with the sale. L

Luis, isn't the Biogon 38mm only available for the SWC?

Yup, that's the beauty of it, you get its own camera body. A much better performer than the 40 Distagon! L

As an owner of the 40f/4 CF Zeiss Distagon FLE T* lens I'll refute that at least the "much better" part. They both have their attributes. If close focusing at widest aperture is of importance the 40 Distagon will be the better bet while the 38 Biogon does outperform on distortion and is indeed legendary in its performance. There's a number of online threads comparing them. That said I'd love to own and use the Biogon someday but love my 40. The 40 is certainly no slouch by any means:

None of the Zeiss lenses are "slouches". Having owned both, I kept the Biogon & sold the Distagon. I've heard the same opinion from folks who have used both lenses. L

Since this thread has been hijacked, I have to say I will gladly accept donations of an SWC body or a Distagon 40 mm! I will even buy the 60 mm if I get one of these donations.

Haha.

You're right. Sorry for the hijacking! But I did start by saying I have the 60 that's for sale and I love mine! Great lens. Someone buy it already!!

Let's get this 60 Distagon sold! It's a great lens at an outstanding price. I'd buy it if I didn't already have one!

Bump! I want to get this lens off to someone who will get good use out of it.
