For Sale FS: Hasselblad 500/ELX Body with Battery Adapter

The 500/ELX has built in TTL flash metering capability with metered prism. It also has a non-vignetting mirror (the mirror was lengthened and the mirror pivoting geometry changed). This model originally used Ni-Cad batteries and has an adapter to use one 9-volt battery to power the built in motor drive. Body is in used but excellent condition with some wear here and there to the paint. The back shows some wear as well. The battery compartment is clean. The serial number RT 1329xxx dates this body to 1986.

Comes with standard focus screen, front body cap and 9-volt battery adapter. These are workhorse solid bodies and are an affordable way to get into the Hasselblad system.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for a 553ELX, so this perks my interest. Major differences between this and the 553?

The 553ELX has papas internal reflection coating and uses 5 AA batteries. As far as I can tell
those were the main differences.

Doesn't the 553 also have the gliding mirror that doesn't vignette (visually) with the long telephoto lenses? I forget.
