For Sale FS: Graflex 4x5 Lens Board

Lens board for a 4x5 Graflex. I'm not sure which models this will fit, but I believe I got it on a Crown Graphic. There's both a inner and outer section. Hole is 34mm (so should fit a Copal 0). That's brass, not rust, on the little wire lever. This has the mechanical linkage to depress the shutter. $25 plus shipping.

You need a reality check on that price, I can (and have) bought brand new boards 3 for $38.99, and there's plenty of them.

Perhaps. But since everyone quotes eBay pricing - which granted can be all over the map - I tried to follow that lead for a Copal 0 board:

I think you'll find my price to be right around the average. And, though I could be wrong, I thought the mechanical linkage might be of particular value to someone.

I value your opinion and know that if you say they're available at 3 for $39, they are. I need a Copal 1 board; could you share your source with us?

Heavystar on Ebay is where I buy mine.

Yes people are lazy & stupid & pay well over the odds on Ebay, but your board is riddled with holes that make it rather useless unfortunately, and I guess I feel it's only fair to point that out to other APUG members when brand new boards are less than your price. It's not a normal linkage nor are the holes, something quite specialist has been mounted on it.

Heavystar has plenty of Graphic boards but no Copal 1's listed, however it's a simple & quick task to file the boards out to a larger size, I've modified quite a few lens boards over the years.

FYI... That board is for the Super Graphic... The linkage and holes for the flash are quite normal, for the Super Graphic as I said before. A couple of the other holes are extraneous, but easily plugged/covered/made-light-tight.

As far as I can tell, this is an original (factory) board. I haven't seen any knockoffs that have both the inner and outer boards, as well as the linkage for shutter release.

Ian, you are correct that Heavystar sells new boards for 3 for $39 (also 1 for $16). I didn't see those because I did my search for "graflex" not "graphic".

Brian, thanks for the info on this board. The only holes that extend though the inner board are the flash holes (and covered up with tape).

So I suppose if you want a basic board, this one is overpriced and I apologize. I suggest you follow Ian's lead and buy on eBay (Item number: 200451992448). If you want a Super Graphic board, PM me.
