For Sale FS Fotron lll 60's camera

I've got an old Fotron lll camera up for sale. This was made in the early 60's in Glendale CA by a company named Triad. It shot 828 film in magazines.
That's about all I know of it, and I have no idea whether it even works or not. But it is big!
It's yours for $15 and I'll split shipping.

Interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fotron says it was sold door to door and regarded as a scam.

these were a stock item in thrift stores for a very long time -- i actually bought one once just for grins. They used repackaged 828 film -- if you really want to sell it take it to an antique stores and put it on consignment, if it hasn't moved in a month do the collectors of the world a favor and run over it with a car -- if we can reduce the numbers of them, the last few might be worth something, but I doubt it.

Although the instructions say not to take it apart... Clearly it was designed with "dad" in mind. They used Phillips screws to put it together. Bet all you have to do is replace the Nicads and jerry-rig a power cord. Remember it has the transformer built-in so you do not have to hunt down a power supply. And it has 10 shots left! Original owner probably loaded it with film and found out the batteries were dead.

Thanks for the info Bill! It would be fun to take apart just to figure out what makes it tick. I would guess it quit ticking about "65".
