For sale

Devere 1010 Metropolitan horizontal enlarger comes with track, five lenses- Rodenstock Omegaron 210mm f4.5, Componon S 300 mm f 5.6, Componon S 135mm f 5.6, Componon S 80-mm f 4.0, Componon S 50 mm f 2.8, and all accessories. As well, International Conference and Display VDCC52 Vacuum easel with vacuum are 60”x108”, Serial number #0052 and Roconnex Iconroll paper dispenser and paper magazines.

This unit is located in Winnipeg Manitoba and has been art of the analog production of The Lab Works and is no longer needed. About five months ago we shut our RA-4 processor down and the unit has not been used since. Currently there is one problem in that the lamp will not shut off and we have not spent a whole lot of time troubleshooting. Otherwise 100% working order.

We are looking for any offer to purchase, our lease is up on our current space and must be moved by October 31st. Would hate to see this go to a landfill.

Wow ....

Somebody in Canada please rescue this piece of excellent machinery and history !!!!!

I think I'm going to need a bigger storage unit... Alas this won't fit into the back of the prius, otherwise the gas savings might be worth the trip :D

Does anyone here happen to work in international shipping? Or know someone who is a broker for cross-border equipment sales?

Hi, good morning,

Would you send it to Europe?
Can you tell me dimensions and weight?

Regards

If you haven't already, post this over on the large format photography site (largeformatphotography.info). Or, let me know and I can post for you. It would be a huge shame to see this go to waste. I'd love to come get it, but I've no idea where I'd put it!

Any idea what it would cost to freight this to south Texas... 78114 ?

The weight, I could only guess. As for the dimensions are you looking for just the Devere or any of the other parts as well?

I put the link to this topic on the sale section of the Large format photography forum. Any idea of your selling price? Youy need to specify the price on LFPF.
As a canadian, I hope that someone will take it.

Beautiful enlarger. I hope someone has space for it and the funds to purchase it.

Having experienced shipping by sea fairly recently, I can say that in New York it cost us $1500 to crate a Hammond Organ in three boxes (console, speaker cabinet, and pedal board), which is probably more than the cost of the same in Winnipeg; about $1000 to ship a car from LA to Honolulu, which is more than the cost of shipping the enlarger, which will fit in a fraction of a standard 40-foot container, and about another $1000 to ship it by land from NYC to LA, which is like twice the distance of Winnipeg to either coast. The seller has to get it out in short order and probably will be very generous on price, so as not to have to pay to have it hauled away. So even with something like $2500 in international shipping costs, there would be an excellent deal to be had here.

Maybe you can donate it to these guys?
Dead Link Removed
I'm sure there are several APUG-ers here who are willing to donate for shipping costs (I will).

Further to this. We cannot locate the service manual and have been unable to determine weight. The asking price is $5,000 Canadian. There are 3 or 4 people who have showed interest, and the only fair way to do it is in the order they contacted me, first come - first serve.

This being Canadian Thanksgiving, I will have limited time but will be responding to any questions or PM's by Tuesday at the latest.

We will get this to a good home.

Thanks

Duncan

I can dig mines when I'm back in home, but as rough guess I'd say that 200kg easily. Originally the enlarger, without rails, came in three separate crates, which can give you an idea.

Unfortunately the manuals do not state the weight anywhere, but it shouldn't be far from my estimation.

On the other hand I have the electric wiring maps and schemas for the whole thing which can help to locate the light issue (if isn't only having the dichro light switch on at the console which overrides the clock instructions).

Mine is a 1010ET, isn't the same model, but the dichromat and internals are built on the same concept, so things won't be apart. PM me if you need a copy of them and we will work it out.

Glad to hear it's found a home!
