Selling my trusty f/1.4 Planar because, well, I've decided I can live with the 1.7 and I need the money  It comes with both front/rear caps and the leather Contax lens pouch. The lens is in excellent condition with very little sign of use. The body looks practically new and the optics are great: no haze or fungus, very little dust, superb rear element and just a few, very small "cleaning marks" on the front element. Asking $475 shipped in CONUS and willing to send it internationally but we'll need to discuss the shipping costs.

I sold mine about 8-9 years ago for the exact same reason having the 1.7 too. But back then the 1.7 could be had for about $100 on the used market and the 1.4 for maybe $120-150! Their amazing quality and usefulness with adapters and digital later discovered the prices have certainly increased.

Both great lenses. The 1.4 of better build quality for sure. You can just feel it between the two.

Great lens. Good luck with the sale.

@ Richard: Yeah, that's my one major qualm with the 1.7, the plasticy build quality. Still a great shooter though and I've gotten some great results out of it.

@Davela: I wish that he were mine (the cat). He could teach a master class in modeling.
