De-GASing.
This is what I believe to be the OLDER SSC before they started labeling. The lens number is 121024 if you want to check I can't find the list of model numbers to compare but other APUGers are better at that than me
I love this lens, but something about using the one I grew up with (the standard 1.8) just feels better for me.
The glass is beautiful! 2 small specs in lens as shown but as everyone loves to say, doesn't affect the image.
It really is a beauty. It's the rotating ring breach lock thing not the newer push button version so it stays much tighter to the body, something that the new design I never liked because it always felt loose.
