Clearing out some old gear to free up funds for film, paper, and other gear...

1) Black Nikon F Plain Prism Body - This is the one that everyone wants. It's a fantastic camera, but I prefer my metered F2. Call me lazy, but unless I'm doing tripod work, I don't like having to meter separately. This body is in very good condition. Cosmetically there are just a few hints of brass coming through here and there along the edges. There is a tiny dent on the back just beneath the advance lever, you really have to catch the light just right to see it. The prism is free of dents with just a couple of light surface scratches. Inside is very clean with a clean shutter curtain. Functionally everything works great. Shutter speed all seem good (can't test for absolute accuracy), self timer works, mirror lock-up works, film spacing is perfect, mirror bumper is good, and the inside of the prism is virtually perfect with no desilvering, just a couple specs of dust. Includes body cap. $300

2) Nikon 50mm f/1.4 Non-Ai w/ HS-1 Hood - Very good condition cosmetically. Shows light signs of use on the body and one little gouge on the side of the hood. Glass is clean except for the usual couple of dust specs, aperture blades are clean. Comes with rear cap and original front screw on cap. $75

3) Nikon 85mm f/1.8 Non-Ai "K" w/ HN-7 Hood - This lens is in STUNNING condition! Easily EXC+ by KEH standards. The lens is CLEAN inside and out. Looks barely used. The hood shows some slight use. This one is collector grade and will not disappoint! A fantastic lens, but I rarely shoot longer than 50mm and found an 80-200mm lens to better suit my needs. Includes front and rear caps. $275

4) Nikon 135mm f/3.5 Non-Ai w/ Nikon Hood - This lens has seen a little more use than the rest of this gear. Outside shows some signs of use, but the glass and inside are clean. I would say it's on the higher end of KEH BGN grade. Includes rear cap and original front screw on cap. $50

5) Nikon 200mm f/4 Non-Ai - This lens is in very good condition with just some light signs of use. Glass and inside are clean except for the usual couple of dust specs. Slide out hood works great. $50

All prices include shipping in the US. Paypal preferred with shipping to confirmed addresses. 3% to APUG.

(PS - Sorry about the obnoxious yellow in the pics. Thought I'd be clever and use a yellow Nikon cloth for contrast... DOH!)

And as someone here mentioned recently, you should never develop/look at negs from a cam you're selling...

Here's a couple shots from a roll of FP4+ I developed tonight that were taken this past week with the F and 50mm.

Just got word that the F is happy in its new home. Let's see about getting these other lenses some love too...

85mm - $260
135mm and 200mm combo - $90

I may be interested in some trades too. I'm looking for the following:

1) 80mm enlarger lens (preferably a Rodagon or a Componon-S)
2) Contax TVS or TVSII (May be open to other premium P&S. Want something with zoom, full manual capability, and the ability to take filters, but as far as I know these are the only 2 that fit the bill)

I am SO regretting not jumping on that F.....

It was in really nice condition and I will miss it. It just wasn't getting the attention from me that it deserved. Hopefully the new owner will give it some love

Yeah, that's why I did not jump. Two F2 bodies, FE2, FM2, F3 and N80 are enough Nikon bodies already for me! Probably will sell off one of the F2's and the FM2 for the reasons you outlined for selling the F. I just never used an F and that one was a beauty.

The F is definitely a camera that I think you need to try as a Nikon fan. If I had to compare to the F2, the construction of the F seems more refined to me. It's quieter and just feels more solid. On the other hand the F2 has the faster shutter, no finicky mirror lock-up, better metered finders, etc. If I could have a collection I'd keep it, but my wife and I have a standing agreement that if stuff isn't getting used then it's out the door. Keeps cash freed up and keeps us from becoming hoarders...lol

Xia_ke is great to deal with - the 50/1.4 I bought from him was in really excellent condition.

Thanks David! Hope you enjoy it. It's a beautiful combo with the F

85mm sold pending payment

I'm open to offers on the 135mm and 200mm. Would rather see them getting used than be shipped off to eBay or collecting dust on the shelf.

Hey, I did put the challenge out there...lol I'm game though as I've had some luck on other gear on the auction site and, like I said, it's better than them collecting dust. I'll send you a pm.

135mm and 200mm are now pending

Sadly, I never tried out the 200mm  It's not really a focal length I use. It was a lens that came with a Nikon F outfit I bought a while ago. That camera was sold a while ago, but at the time decided to hold onto the lens just in case. I figure after a year of it sitting unused, it's time to move it along. The 135mm I have used a couple of times and it's a great lens, but again, not really a focal length I use.

I bought a kit with a 200mm f4 Ai'd and I tried it on *igital and was pretty surprised at the quality. I decided to keep it for when I need a light tele (my other tele is the 80-200mm 2.8).

Well, no response from jfoote. As an exercise though, I did bring these with me on vacation this past weekend and got some use out of them. Looking forward to seeing how the shots turn out. For now I guess I'll just hold onto them.
