I bought this with the best of intentions of keeping and using it, but I got 8x10 fever so it is time to sell to someone who wants a superb 5x7 camera outfit. This is the personal camera gear from Mr. Oliver Sigurdson - who was in the film business from the 1920's thru the earyl 1950's. He started his photography career in shooting war photos in France during WWI and from there went to Hollywood - where he worked as a cinematographer and still photographer on over 30 films. He photographed Katherine Hepburn among many others. This camera is a Kodak View No.2 - Improved Century and Empire State No. 2. with an hard to find original Schneider Angulon 210mm lens on working shutter. The glass is clean, mold, scratch and fungus free. The camera comes with a bunch of gear - a Bausch & Lomb Zeiss Tessar IC lens with good glass and aperture blades, 20 wood 5 x 7 film holders all in very good condition, various assorted hoods & filters - including a couple of Aero filters. There is an packard shutter which is now mounted behind the lens pictured on the camera, view finder, lens cap, and the cameras original extension rail. The camera itself appears to be in Excellent condition - bellows are good, soft, supple and light tight. It all comes in these 2 very heavy duty cases, which are made of metal and worth some bucks on their own - so shipping costs will be quite expensive. The total weight is around 60 lbs and I will ship each case seperately. This is a really wonderful camera and gear - and the history that goes with it!
