I have had this very nice camera, the first of the compact 35 "point and shoots", for many years and have shot many rolls of film, but now it is time to pass it on to the next photographer. I am thinking about the great times this little camera has documented and all the wonderful family pictures of my three son's and I am becoming more reluctant to part with this gem. Alas, the torch must be passed...so it goes up for sale.

As stated this Rollei was born in Germany, probably sometime in the late 60's or early 70's and has the wonderful 40mm f:3.5 Tessar. The light meter still works, but I can't guarantee how long the battery will last. The shutter, a Compur leaf shutter, sounds about right but has not been tested. The black finish is in pretty good shape but there is a small ding in the top next to the shutter release and one corner that was dinged, but repaired with black enamel (not by me). The bright line viewfinder is very easy to see even with glasses. The above dings have no effect on the function of the camera, strictly cosmetic. When you heft this camera it really feels solid, not like some of the later 35's that almost feel hollow:wink: All in all it is a very nice user.

I am also including a Rollei 121 BC flash that works nicely with the hot shoe on the bottom of the camera. I am also throwing in a Tamrac case that takes the camera, flash and an couple of rolls of film.

Camera, Flash and Case for $175 net to me + shipping and I wouldn't mind sending this camera back home

I have both Sonnar and Tessar too and find my Tessar to be amazing. I think it's likely due to the loose seating of the Sonnar on my example though. Great camera!!

Thanks for your comments and I always felt that the Tessar was a very sharp lens although I didn't have the Sonnar for comparison.

This fine little camera will be off to a new owner to continue it's photographic adventures.
