I'm offering up my collection of A. Laverne/ Clement & Gilmer lens and paraphernalia. I've been collecting this stuff for a while, and I doubt many people have seen this much of their stuff in one place at one time. Lenses, a branded universal iris, tele attchment, you just don't see this from one small company everyday.
Sadly, I admit that I am so shallow that I fell in love with this Parisian brand due to the great engraving they did. Each lens uses a different sort of engraving. The Lens Vade Mecum speculates that Clement & Gilmer bought out A Laverne and changed the name. At some point, they realized that the name had selling power, so started using it again. On the lenses made then, they seem to have engraved A Laverne, then also Clement & Gilmer Successors.
These lens are good for up to whole plate size ( 8 1/2 x 6 1/2) and the 15" should cover 8x10. I don't have an 8x10 to try it on, but it has tons more coverage than my whole plate camera needs.
I would prefer to sell this is a collection but if no one wants it all, I might consider piecing it out. If one buyer takes several items but not the whole collection, I'll probably sell the rest individually for sure. I'd like $1275 for the entire collection of things including USA insured shipping. Paypal is fine, but obviously, I'd rather have a USPS money order and not give Paypal so much money. But if you don't know me or need to use your credit card, Paypal is perfectly ok. $$ to APUG if sold here.
