FS: 8 x 10 Deardorff View
An 8 x 10 Deardorff View camera with 4 x 5 back in excellent condition. One of the best assembled American view cameras made in Chicago, USA. Serial number 5147 is noted in the factory records as having shipped either in 1976 or 1979. Has mahogany wood body with nickel-plated hardware with aluminum knobs. Comes with clean Deardorff tripod base, and original knobs and handle. Has reversible 8 x 10 spring back with gridded ground glass. New bellows from Custom Bellows allows 30 inches of bellows extension. Front movements are: rise, tilt and swing. Rear movements are: tilt and swing. Weight with lens board and back: 12.21 pounds. Uses 6 x 6 inch Deardorff lens boards.
Condition: Finish on the mahogany wood is excellent, the nickel plating and aluminum knobs in excellent condition as well. Shows minimal signs of use. The focus is smooth; the front and rear beds glide in and out. This camera is an excellent user, with smooth movements and tight locks, rigid when locked down. Body comes with 8 x 10 back and one Deardorff lens board drilled for Copal #3. Whoever purchases this is going to receive one very nice 8 x 10.
