For Sale FS: 8 1/2" f6.3 Ilex Caltar

For sale, Ilex's version of the C.E. This is a 215mm f6.3 Calumet-Ilex Caltar in Acme #3 shutter. Lens is mounted on a 4x4 board (actually, just shy of that). The glass is in fair condition - there are some small light scratches and cleaning marks. The photos show the damage on the front filter ring. The shutter works after a fashion - T & B work, but the speeds are all off. That all aside, this is a classic Tessar lens - see attached 4x5 on HP5 with this lens.

Yes indeed it is, I often wish I'd kept mine, the "plain" Ilex version. $45? A steal. All sorts of room for movements on 4x5 too.
