I have for sale a single-coated Super-W-Komura 75mm f/6.3 lens in a Seikosha shutter. This is an 8-element lens with a 93 degree angle of view (presumably at f/22, the data sheets on cameraeccentric don't say), so it will provide an image circle of 158mm. This is adequate for 4x5 straight on with a bit of wiggle room, but not much. It accepts 72mm filters.
The Komura's optical design differs from that of the other 75s for which I have data (Grandagon-N, Nikkor, Fujinon-SW, and Super Angulon), having a flange focal length of just over 100mm. This is at least 15mm more than any of the others and is comparable to the FFL of most of the 90mm lenses I checked from the same four manufacturers. If you can focus a 90mm at infinity without a recessed lensboard then you won't need one with this lens either.
The lens comes with its original screw-in metal front and rear caps (yes, the rear cell is threaded!) and the retaining ring. The shutter is fully functional, with the slow speeds repeatable but sounding a bit slow. Using a stopwatch I get a consistent ~1.5 seconds on the 1-second setting. The glass is clean with only very minor dust. The construction is interesting as both the front and rear cells can be unscrewed into two parts, exposing an internal element in each case; be careful if you do this as the internal elements protrude and could be easily damaged.
I'm unable to remove the front cell from the shutter by hand. When I consulted Frank Marshman (Camera Wiz) he was quite confident he'd have no problem doing so at CLA time. The rear cell unscrews from the shutter with no difficulty so there's no issue with lens board mounting. The barrel has typical minor scuffs and scrapes of age but no dents or dings and both caps screw in smoothly.
I'd like $225, which includes PayPal fees and insured shipping to your door in the US. International shipping will add to this and we'll need to figure it out.
