The lens and filter glass are both in excellent condition. The Copal 0 shutter sounds appropriate on all speeds. I can't test the flash sync. There are just the slightest signs of use on the shutter and lens housings. Both front and rear cells can be smoothly screwed in and out of the late-style Copal 0 shutter. It has a loose-fitting rear cap and the retaining ring, but no front cap for the lens itself. Schneider says it takes 95mm filters.
The hard-to-find Center-Filter IVb is correct for this lens and has a 4x filter factor (2 stops). It's in excellent optical condition. It looks like there's a carefully-repaired dent in the CF's front filter threads (see the pictures). The CF screws into the lens' filter threads but doesn't do so with buttery smoothness although the threads (lens and filter both) don't appear damaged. A lighter grip helps so apparently the metal deforms a bit under pressure. It's also possible it was very slightly deformed by the impact that caused the now-repaired apparent dent. Despite this, it's perfectly usable - I used it for the one image I made with this lens (sadly, a "meh" image that I've discarded). Schneider's literature says the CF should take 112mm filters on the front, but what's odd is that the outside diameter of the CF itself is 112mm, which means any filter would need threads less than 112mm. I used it with a taped-on gel - it wasn't hard to find a usable 5" square area on a 20x24 Rosco gel that I got for a whopping $11. The CF has a front cap.
BTW, you can use this CF on your 150mm f/8 Nikkor-SW on 8x10 (you do have one, don't you?) because 150mm on 8x10 has the same imaging geometry as 72mm does on 4x5.
I am willing to sell the lens and filter separately, but will not sell the filter alone until the lens is sold to ensure that whoever buys the lens has the option of buying the center filter. My asking prices ($1600 lens + filter, $850 lens alone, $800 filter alone) include insured US shipping and PayPal G&S fees. It would be very expensive to ship this internationally as I would only do so with insurance for and declaration of full value.
