For sale is my 300mm f/5.6 "inside-lettering" Fujinon-W in an older-style Copal 3S (marked only "Copal 3") shutter. This single-coated first version of the Fujinon-W has a 420mm image circle at f/22 per Fuji's specs, providing generous coverage at 8x10 and even 10x12, but will fall slightly short in the corners on 11x14 at infinity. Frank Marshman CLA'd the shutter for me a few years ago and I've exercised it regularly since then.

This is a massive lens, weighing 39.5 ounces and takes 77mm filters. It comes with the original caps and a mounting flange. The glass is clean and clear, with just a couple of cleaning marks and what appears to be slight coating discoloration on the outer surface of the front cell that I couldn't get to show up in the photos. There is no haze and minimal internal dust. There are the scuffs and wear marks of age along with some areas of missing paint on the lens cell bodies, but no significant dings or signs of mistreatment. Both caps have had tape added to the inside perimeter to improve their grip - the front was (rather sloppily, IMO) done by a previous owner using duct tape, I did a much neater job on the rear cap with blackout tape.

You can see in the photos that the rear cell has some minor edge separation. It's entirely blocked by f/11 and of no consequence at normal working apertures. The separation was present when I bought this lens a number of years ago and has remained unchanged throughout my ownership.

This lens is massive overkill for 4x5, my LF of choice these days, and is excessive even for my occasional 5x7 or whole-plate negatives. Given its weight I'm afraid to even put it on my most-used 4x5 camera, a Nagaoka! I have more 300mm lenses than I'll need in this lifetime so it's time this one found a new home rather than sit unused in my humidity-controlled safe.

$395 includes PayPal and insured shipping costs within the US. International shipping of this heavy lens will be expensive, please contact me to discuss options.

I prefer contacts by email. You can do that the same way you'd send a PM, just select "Send Email" from the popup menu.
