How about an extreme wide angle for your 4x5? Here it is!
First off, I'm going to point out that I'll be happy to refund your money, for any reason, if you return this lens. Why would I start with that? Well, the front cell has lots of pitting and some hazing. I'm sure the lens will still take decent pictures, just not as sharp as when it was new. Heck, you're not looking for detail in an extreme wide angle shot, anyway. The second reason is because this lens is marked f12.5 (or can it be f/2.5?), but the shutter scale starts at f/4.5. Suspicious, isn't it?
The lens does form an image, and the shutter comes with a retaining ring, so it's ready for experimenting. It's just I'm never going to get around to doing it. The shutter's somewhat grungy, but it fires on all speeds, although the speed selection ring is very stiff. I'm sure the speeds aren't accurate, but they re not all the same, either.
Give it a try, and you may get a real nice deal. If it doesn't work out, send it back and I'll put it into some Lucite and make an award out of it.
