A Lens for the Creative Photographer~

125mm f:2.3 Large Format Wollaston Meniscus Lens
125mm focal length is considered a “normal” lens for most 4x5” cameras.
It’s also, a great “wide” lens on 5x7 cameras (Deardorff, Wisner, Chamonix, for example).

+ 72mm front thread ring
+ Five aperture cards included
+ Front & rear lens caps
+ Plastic laminated data sheets
+ A cleaning cloth and mounting screws

photo# 125/2.3 - unmounted #1074
… Price; Unmounted Lens, $180.00 + shipping

photo #125/2.1- Birch board tachi #1242
In this photo it’s mounted on a 96x99mm “Linhof size” Birch Plywood lensboard ~
… Price; Mounted on the 96x99 Baltic Birch board,~ $220.00 + shipping
(this same lens+board is shown on my 4x5 Tachihara)...

The photos ""Pens in a Cup" illustrate some renditions with this lens~

A selection of photos made with various Wollaston lenses...
Including a few made with a Kodak Hawkeye (a meniscus lens camera).

For those folks who hesitate since they don’t have a shutter~ here’s an opportunity to learn how they did it long ago,,,
I’ll add a $15 ShutterCap free~
~along with the lens and the birch clone of the (almost) universal Linhof/Technika lensboard. ($220.00 + shipping).

Another tactic is to use X-ray film for making low cost film negatives.
Working under a red safelight makes developing film by inspection a breeze~

Contrast variables when using meniscus lenses opens another way of seeing...
Low cost X-ray film makes shooting many aperture and contrast variables a snap.

Just a "heads up"...

The unmounted lens (plus another lens via a PM order) has been sold.
Thus, the 125/2.1 lens+Birch 96x99mm "Linhof Size" lensboard offer is still valid~
