Here we've got a lovely 12 inch Commercial Ektar, in very nice shape, but NOT in an Ilex or Acme shutter, like so many others. No, this one is special - it comes without all that fancy machinery, and sits politely in a clean barrel. It also costs less than those other 12" CE's. Just right for those with stand-alone shutters, a Speed Graphic, or a plain hat-shutter.
The glass is very good - no scratches, fungus, etc., etc. Hardly a cleaning wisp, in fact. Of course, if you look close in the middle of the lens, you'll see a white dot. That's a bubble! If you fear the bubble, you'd better run away and not buy this lens - it's not for you. Iris moves smoothly - snaps right into the detents. Comes with a mounting flange. Currently sitting on a crappy 4x4 lensboard. I made lenscaps for both the front and back lenses, and will include them.
In shutters, these things seem to sell in the $350-$400 range. I'll start this at $200 + shipping, and see what the action is. Paypal's accepted. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail, and will cost $10.
