Offered here is a very nice example of a high quality 11x14 Tessar. Bausch and Lomb produced excellent lenses, back in the day.
The glass is great - no scratches, haze, etc. The iris moves smoothly from f/6.3 through f/45. The front and rear cells are mounted in aluminum, while the barrel is made of brass.
The are only two minor defects to mention. First, there is a split in the rim, visible at about 10 o'clock in the picture below. Looks like the lens had a dent that someone tried to fix, but used a bit too much force. The other defect is a pair of small paint chips that have adhered to the inside of the front element. In the picture, one is visible at the 6 o'clock position, and the other is visible near the upside down "30" mark on the ruler. These won't have any significant effect on photos. It would be simple to remove these chips, if the air-spaced front elements were separated, but they did not come apart easily and I abandoned the effort.
The lens comes with a mounting flange along with front and rear leather lens caps.
I'm going to offer this lens at a price of $600 + shipping, and reduce the price by $25 every other day. If you have a price in mind, msg me to be first in line, should your price become effective.
