Lens is marked as Turner-Reich Anastigmat 10 1/3 In., Gundlach Optical Co., Rochester, NY

This is the symmetrical version of what is usually seen as a triple convertible. It is a 10 1/3" lens much like a Protar. Either individual cell will work as about 16 1/2" focal length. The f stops are marked only for the complete lens (as with a Dagor), but I can provide a conversion chart. The individual cells were much corrected than a Dagor when used separately. Some highly respected sources say the converted cells are as good as a Series VII Protar, but I personally think they are a notch below that .

This would be normal for 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 (or full plate), a slightly long normal on 5x7, or a nice portrait length (full up, or converted) on 4x5. It should cover 8x10, but I'm not sure how much extra coverage it would have for movements. I'll check if someone needs to know.

The old Regno shutter seems to work okay except B and T don't stay open. A simple clean and lube should fix that; these are a very simple pneumatic shutter design. It looks to take a bulb release. There are a few lovely little air bubbles in the glass (claimed to be a sign of good optical glass at that time). The glass is fairly clean with some separation around the edges as is common with TR's and Protars. There are some slight marks, but there is nothing that should effect performance.

Picture soon.

$65 plus shipping (US only). As always, interesting trades are welcome (mostly small format).
