Hi there, I'm Rob and I live in San Jose, CA. I work full time as a freelance photographer in the bay area and do some video work as well. I started with 35mm at around 11 years old and shot that for years until I went to school where everything was all digital. I still shot film for personal work and I liked my Mechanical Nikon F2 that could be used anywhere without batteries.

I'm trying to get back into film in a big way, I mostly use my F2 but I also have a Holga(of course) and recently purchased a used Mamiya RZ67 Pro 1 that I'm still testing. I love polaroid and slide film. Film is of course what got me into photography, and I tend to forgot how magical it is when I'm behind my digital camera hooked up to my laptop day in and day out for work.

Anyways, I'm excited to be a part of this community!

Welcome to Apug.. and yes, there is definitely a difference, between film and digital.. the best right off the bat, for me, is that it is not instant gratification.
