Friedlander SWC Finder ?!?!

Anyone have any idea what contraption Lee rigged up on this SWC? Looks interesting and makes me think what % of his work is calculated and what comes from perhaps a bit of luck with guessing exact framing with his SWC. I love his work with that camera, America by Car is an excellent body of work.

It's a custom made adapter that gives him a hotshoe above the finder for the strobe he uses.

Regarding framing, use any rf/vf camera long enough & you'll get a very good idea of what the camera sees vis-a-vis what you see in the finder - to the point that it becomes an automatic part of how you compose.
