Just FYI:
In late summer I bought fresh Provia 100F 135 with a guarantee date of 06 / 2025 at my local film shop / lab.
This November my local shop got another fresh shipment, and I bought another batch, now with 09 / 2025 guarantee date.
And all at the former price, so 20% cheaper than Ektachrome.
With Provia 100F I have the better film at much lower price, so it's a no-brainer for me.
From another big European film supplier I've got the message that they expect to get also fresh shipments of Velvia and Provia 100F in 120.

Best regards,
Henning

Great news, Henning!

I am also waiting for some fresh stuff to replenish my stock.

Yupp, it is worth to check or ask your favourite supplier / shop when they expect fresh shipments coming in.
Maybe you can make yourself even a nice Christmas present 😀.

Best regards,
Henning

Glad to hear! 120 I am eagerly awaiting though no rush until Spring. Hopefully these new stocks reach widely the distributing chain, as in EU Fujichrome has been not available for quite long.
At least it seemed honest from Fuji's side to issue that notice in 2022 that Reversal films would be in shortage. It's reassuring if they are picking up and making more again. Now a different discussion for the format (120) is for them to make some Color negative product as well.

Meanwhile I have been praying vigorously for the 400h to come back.

Good news. Nevertheless, none of the stores (bigger stores in the EU) I regularly buy from have it in stock, hope the situation changes soon.

I hope it comes to the US. Here, if you can Fuji E6 film, the Provia 100F (and Velvia) is substantially more expensive than E100...$30 per roll vs. $22 for 35mm.

In 120 Provia 100F is the cheapest color film stock available in continental Europe or very close, curious...

Assuming you can find some. It's unavailable everywhere I have looked at. The prices are probably old and will likely be increased once it gets back in stock.

I expect exactly this when it returns to stock at my local store. Currently it's listed at 14.90EUR and nowhere to be seen.

Even the site is in Spanish, it is dutch company.

And if you happen to be in Madrid:

I suppose they are all old stock with the old price but I would not care much.

In the last months I've bought Provia 100F 135 with guarantee dates of 06 / 2025, 07 / 2025 and the latest with 09 /2025 (see picture below).
So it looks like there is at least a continuous 135 confectioning running again.

I have paid 20€ per roll, which is about 20% cheaper compared to Ektachrome E100 here in Germany.
I prefer Provia to current Ektachrome because of the following reasons:
- significantly better sharpness
- higher resolution
- a bit more pleasing colour rendition (a bit warmer tones)
- better shadow detail at box speed
- much lower price
- significantly better price-performance ratio.

Best regards,
Henning

My box says 2025.06 and I'm happy to have it. Paid 20EUR at alocal WEB store and E100 goes for 27.
I also got Velvia 50 - 2025.02 - now I have to wait for that rare winter sun to appear here, or do some abstract color stuff as the weather outside is nothing but blandscape. That appearance of sun hopefully will bring clear night skies, where 20min exposures should yield nice trails and colorful stars.
Gosh, when was the last time I held an E-6 film in my hands? It feels a bit like a sacred artifact from a bygone era to me lol.

I too prefer the Fuji colors and I've read that northerners prefer warmer light

I've been infatuated with Provia F since I first tried it many years ago. I've shot it in 120, 35mm and have a box of 4x5 I mean to get to one day soon. I've always preferred it to the old versions of Ektachrome. New Ektachrome is great film, no doubt.

I also prefer provia over E100. But seeing as I can get fresh E100 for about $7 us a roll directly from Eastman in 400 ft rolls, I have been shooting it. I always have an 81a when I shoot E100 as its very cold. Provia projects better, but the price difference is in E100's favor this time. I miss being able to bulk roll provia, I am down to 2 100ft rolls left, so saving those for any major vacation I take.

Yes, I'm shooting some of the E100. I have a 400 foot roll myself. I will probably stick with Provia for 120.

Sooo, E100 is a lesser product for a prettier penny, except bulk loaded and solely due to the fact that Fuji doesn't sell bulk?

Bought 10x from NL and haven't shot it yet.

Hallo, can you please post a link for websites from where is possible tu buy fresh Provia 100?
I cannot find it
Thanks

lol, right. E100 goes for 27 : D

I’ve seen both Provia and Velvia for as much as $35 USD in the past while. Ektachrome is only marginally cheaper. I’m afraid shooting slide film is just like that now.

The situation is reversed in EU, where Ektachrome is more expensive than the Fuji offerings. But yes, shooting E6 is some kind of luxury now. I have a reasonable stash, which will last me some years, but replenishment is highly unlikely.
